Prepare a pizza on the grill: it works!
Pretty good if you follow a few tricks while grilling.
One factor in particular is crucial.
Grilling pizza
is not difficult and gives the food a completely different flavor.
There are a few things to watch out for so that the
pizza
from the
grill is
particularly tasty.
We show you how to make
pizza
from the
grill
.
Offenbach -
grill
pizza
?
That's fine.
And it's not that difficult at all.
It doesn't matter whether it's a charcoal or gas grill.
But there are a few things to keep in mind.
Who
Pizza
wants to barbecue, of course, needs a good dough.
Whether Also Fertigteig with wheat or spelled, if it has to go fast, lets the
pizza
from the
grill
use.
The choice of topping offers much more freedom than with the dough.
Here, too, the "grilled"
pizza
does not
differ
from one from the oven.

Grilling: The right temperature for grilled pizza
The right
grill
is more
important than the
pizza
itself
.
This must be closed in any case, so a kettle grill is a good idea.
But a gas grill will also work if it is big and strong enough.
Because to prepare a
pizza
on the
grill
, temperatures of 300, better 400 degrees are required.
Achieving this is
not difficult
even with a
grill
.
So you don't necessarily need a brick oven to get the perfect pizza.
Pizza from the grill: A pizza stone is helpful for grilling
The
pizza
stone is
an (almost) essential accessory for grilling
pizza
.
The
Pizza
to put on the grill, would not work.
But pizza stones are not difficult to get, they can be found on the Internet as well as in many supermarkets.
It does not matter whether a pizza stone made of soapstone, lava stone or ceramic is used.
It is important that the pizza stone is brought
to temperature
together with the
grill
so that it has enough heat for the
pizza
.
So:
fire up the
grill
, put in the pizza stone,
close the
grill
and then wait until the appropriate temperatures are reached.
With charcoal, this shouldn't take too long because the coals burn hot, but not very long.
But that's not too bad, more on that in a moment.
If a pizza stone isn't available, don't worry.
Of course, any other base that is suitable for baking at temperatures above 300 degrees will also work.

Cowboy or Garlic Chicken?
Those are my 2 favorite Papa Murphy's pizzas.
Why heat up the house when you can throw it on the grill !?
It works so well on pellet grill because it's an indirect flame and you get that delicious wood-fueled essence to the pizza.
I turn my grill to 375 ° and put the pizza (still on paper tray) directly on the grate.
I let it cook for about 10 minutes and then give it a 180 degree turn.
Let it finish cooking up another 10ish minutes.
Tips to make it the best- ☆☆ Make sure your grill is clean, a dirty grill is going to burn off old residue and that will flavor your pizza in a bad way.
☆☆ Learn the hot spots of the grill and make sure you give the pizza a turn so that you won't have burned crust.
☆☆ If you want to give it a much more smokey tone, then set it to 180-225 ° smoke temp range for 20 minutes before turning up the heat.
Smoke happens at lower temperatures, baking happens at higher.

This is how the pizza gets on the grill - and becomes a pleasure
Now things can get tricky.
The
pizza
on the heated pizza stone in the
grill
to get, is not easy.
Especially when you consider that the pizza stone is already pretty hot and you don't want to burn your fingers.
If available, a pizza spoon is of course the medium of choice.
But since this is not available in every household, a flat cake or baking tray will do the same.
But as I said: take care of your fingers and other body parts.
The most important tool of every grill master, the grill tongs are
unfortunately of little
help when
grilling
pizza
.
Pizza doesn't take long on the grill
When the
pizza is
on the
grill
, most of it is done.
Now it's time to wait.
But not for too long, because a
pizza
is
ready quickly
on the - naturally closed -
grill
.
Five minutes should be enough.
That's why it's not a tragedy when the coals usually only burn for a short time.
With the coal portion, which is usually sufficient for a barbecue evening with four to five people, five to six pizzas can be grilled without any problems.
Nothing stands in the way of a delicious culinary “crossover” between Italian cuisine and a barbecue evening.
Good Appetite!
By the way: There are also a few good tips for those who prefer to grill a bit more traditionally.
If there are leftovers in the freezer, no problem.
Frozen meat can also be grilled.
However, it doesn't always have to be meat that ends up on the grill: salmon is also great for grilling.
There are just a few small things to keep in mind.
