This time, a special protocol had been prepared so as not to cancel the event, with distancing and a maximum number of people.
But none of that was respected.
In the last hours, images were broadcast from inside the church, with a huge number of people and all without a mask.
The result?
22 confirmed cases as of this Wednesday morning and more than 900 isolated cases
, many of them with symptoms.
Witnesses assured that the priest was the one who encouraged those present to remove their masks, saying that "those who wore a chinstrap were fearful and that they should not be afraid of death, because

The mayor Gerardo Zuin, although he could not confirm the version because he was not at the scene, told

Local media report that the priest is known to be "totally anti-vaccination and anti-quarantine" and this was demonstrated on his Facebook profile, which he deleted in the last hours after the scandal unleashed.
"I found out about this case through people's comments. Even from the Municipality we had already intimidated the church to comply with the protocol," explained the mayor, who assured that the imprudence was present before, in other masses, because on the day of the pilgrimage
there were already people with symptoms
.
It was Zuin who told how the epidemiological situation is in Posse, a town that since the beginning of the pandemic
had only registered a couple of cases
by travelers who arrived from abroad, in March.
Since then it was part of the "white zone" of the province.

"On Tuesday 32 more swabs were made, we are quite waiting," he said.
And he added: "80 percent of the infections occurred during mass and there is 20 percent in research that have no connection with this situation."
Among the positives, he pointed out that
there is a person with risk factors
but who is in good health, at home, and several older adults among those tested.
The mayor of Justiniano Posse announced the outbreak in the town.
“I can't blame anyone.
Here it is a question of social responsibility and of each one.
There was a social irresponsibility of not continuing with prevention measures, especially in closed places, conglomerates of people where protection measures such as distance and chinstrap were not complied with, ”he concluded.

, decided to act ex officio, after receiving an anonymous complaint, and is already working on an investigation.
