From purifiers to urban forests, 12.3 billion for the environment

The nine projects headed by the Ministry of the Environment for the portion of the Recovery Fund amount to a total of over 12.3 billion euros. The most important, from the point of view of economic investment, is the "Plan for the collection and purification of waste water - Overcoming the EU infringement procedures" which provides for 8,732,839,200 billion in six years to overcome the crisis in the sector water; second in terms of amount, 2.5 billion euro in one year concerns the "Resilient urban forests for the well-being of citizens" project, which includes a series of actions aimed at 14 metropolitan cities. Then there is the "Green jobs for future generations: initiatives and opportunities" project which provides for 200 million over 5 years to "raise awareness of environmental issues and train secondary school students and teachers" and more " Small islands 100% green ", with 75 million in 5 years for actions to adapt to climate change, energy and water efficiency, sustainable mobility, waste cycle management. The project "Restoration of the habitats and species of the Natura 2000 Network" worth 497 million in three years aims to strengthen the restoration of the Italian natural capital in the most valuable assets such as habitats and species of community interest. Innovation and certification for sustainability and ecological transition in companies is a project worth 62,850,000 euros in 7 years, while "Photovoltaics as an opportunity for green transition. The introduction of a bonus for energy produced and self-consumed on site "expects 113 million euros in 5 years. To improve air quality there is the "Clean air: let's get inspired" project for 100 million in 5 years and for getting around the city there is "Festina Lente - Hurry slowly", 80 million in 5 years for alternatives ecological to use the car.
