The caption on the sticker did not go through the surfers' throats, and the web was filled with hundreds of tweets and angry reactions about what many called a detached, megalomaniacal and even selfish act.
"The act is beautiful and appreciative, but to mark what you packed ... a bit jarring. Not everything should be taken credit, I guess products packaged by other volunteers were not marked," tweeted a surfer.
Other surfers did not spare harsh and blatant criticism and attacked the work of Shmuli Kasher.
