"The old lout thought he could get my peacocks," writes the "Waidfräulein" on Facebook next to a photo.
The woman whose real name is Sinah B. can be seen on it.
She kneels in the snow in front of a dead fox, the animal has apparently just killed her.
"Waidfräulein" is the pseudonym of a hunter who describes her everyday life on the hunt on social media and provides information about why the hunt is part of nature.
For example, fox hunting is permitted because fox populations do not regulate themselves.
There are so many foxes that their prey, such as birds that breed on the ground, could be threatened with extinction.
But obviously not everyone understands that.
The post we are talking about is actually more than two years old, but it is still causing a stir.
The post has been commented more than 5000 times, including tons of hate postings.
To date, this has led to legal consequences in more than 50 cases, as the German Hunting Association announced on Saturday.
Accordingly, the consequences include, among other things, penalty orders, judgments, compensation for pain and suffering or cease and desist statements.
In cooperation with the hunting association, an expert on Internet crime has successfully completed more than 50 cases, it said.
Further proceedings are still ongoing.
"In addition to declarations of cease and desist, there were over a dozen criminal and civil convictions," writes the association.
Hate commentators would have to pay a total of 10,000 euros in fines and procedural costs.
For the insult of the woman with a derogatory term for the female sexual organ, 3800 euros were due for court, lawyer and pain and suffering.
"Bitch" and "scrap" cost 3300 euros.
Attacks like "bitch", "visit, tie up, gag" and "load of shot into the rear end" resulted in follow-up costs of 2000 euros.
"I'm just saying karma, you filthy bitch" was followed by 1600 euros and "Ugly woman, take care of your health. We'll find you" 1400 euros in costs.
"We advise everyone who is affected by hate crime on the Internet: Secure evidence and report it," said DJV President Volker Böhning about the cases.
It takes a lot of staying power, but criminals have to learn that the Internet is not a legal vacuum.
