The police in Magdeburg banned and dissolved the right-wing extremist martial arts event "Battle of the Nibelungs".
The approximately 90 visitors and participants from ten federal states followed the requests and left the event site, the authority said.
Accordingly, a boxing ring was already set up on the grounds of a motorcycle club at the time of the mission.
There was also a sales booth for T-shirts with the label of the event.
About 140 officers were on duty.
The police did not provide any information about the reason for the prohibition order.
She was not available for inquiries.
The action was a "heavy blow" to the right-wing martial arts scene, said Robert Claus, right-wing extremism researcher and book author ("Your fight - how Europe's extreme right trains for the overthrow") to SPIEGEL.
It is "questionable whether the organization can recover from it."
The "Battle of the Nibelungs" is considered the largest martial arts event of the militant neo-Nazi scene in Western Europe.
It took place annually until 2018, most recently with 800 to 900 participants, said Claus.
Tickets cost between 25 and 45 euros.
Martial arts in the online stream
The planned event in Ostritz, Saxony, was banned last year.
The Dresden Higher Administrative Court confirmed a corresponding decision by the lower court.
This year, the event is scheduled to take place on October 10th, and for the first time as an online stream.
"It is very likely that the fights should now be started in Magdeburg to be broadcast on October 10," said Claus.
