(ANSA) - NEW YORK, OCT 15 - In the United States 8 million people have slipped into poverty since May with the end of the stimuli to the economy launched by Congress.

The New York Times reports it citing a study by Columbia University, which comes as Democrats and Republicans seek a new agreement to allocate new aid.


    An understanding at the moment seems distant even if the secretary, Steven Mnuchin, and the Speaker of the room, Nancy Pelosi, continue to negotiate.
