The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported another 430 deaths from coronavirus on Tuesday and reported 12,145 new infections in the last 24 hours.
So far, the places with the most confirmed cases of coronavirus in Argentina are the Province of Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Santa Fe, Córdoba and Mendoza.
Argentina goes through the 33rd week, since the quarantine was announced, with the gradual opening of some shops and activities in the Federal Capital and Greater Buenos Aires, there are currently 18 provinces with isolated cities that have reinforced their controls.
The list of the nations most affected in terms of coronavirus cases in the world is headed by the United States, followed by India, Brazil, France, Spain and Argentina.
The day after President Alberto Fernández announced that Argentina will buy the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to combat the coronavirus, the Government gave some details of how the application of the first 25 million doses will be and to whom they will be destined.
Officials announced that the vaccine will be
free access
and that the application, as expected, will
begin in essential personnel and risk groups.
The purchase agreement is for 25 million doses, which will allow vaccinating about 12.5 million people,
since after the first application, at 21 days, a second is applied.
"The application will be free to access for the entire population. Each vaccine costs USD19.90 and progress is being made in the last details depending on the amount that can be purchased," said Cecilia Nicolini, advisor to the president.
