ROME - Today a map of the Orange Flag villages is making its debut to support the trade of local businesses and producers thanks to online channels. The initiative, developed by Facebook and the Italian Touring Club, is part of the #piccolegrandimprese project of Facebook Italia in support of Italian SMEs and 0 Km producers. The map, developed by the French Mapstr app and included in the online hub of #piccolegrandimprese, represents the Orange Flag villages, the tourist-environmental quality mark with which the Italian Touring Club certifies small villages rich in history, culture and traditions of the Italian hinterland. The project - explains a note - intends "to highlight the hidden gems of the beautiful country and its local producers, supporting the purchases of their products through digital channels". The map of the Orange Flag villages - the authors specify in detail - is part of the broader project presented in July 2020 by Facebook Italy to support the economic recovery and accelerate the digital transformation of Italian SMEs, #piccolegrandimprese. The project - it is reported - includes an online hub where you can find all the initiatives dedicated to small businesses, a free digital diagnosis tool to evaluate your degree of digitization and obtain a personalized digital action plan and a series of training materials free developed by Facebook and the project partners. The "Facebook Business Open Days" are part of the articulated plan for SMEs, digital and free training days on a monthly basis until December 2020, in the form of webinars and live chats with experts.
