.
Born in 2019, thanks also to a loan from the Otb Foundation, it has 6 minibuses, employs 4 drivers (another 10 women are in training) to make traveling around the city safe.
The Koinè Prize is awarded to personalities from the world of art, culture, science, politics or business, who have distinguished themselves in their activities for their commitment to keeping the Intercultural Dialogue among peoples alive.
'We decided to award Nove because the story of the Pink Shuttle in Kabul looks like the script of a good film, it is one of those little things capable of assuming enormous importance for the life of women - said
Ginella Vocca, president of MedFilm Festival
- We really need experiences that fill us with hope for a better world, for women and consequently for everyone. '
For
Arianna Briganti, vice president of Nove
, 'the Koinè prize to the women of the Pink Shuttle in Kabul is a precious encouragement to change the social condition, for the breaking of patriarchal constraints and the overcoming of sexist impositions.
We are proud and grateful for this important recognition, which has greatly moved the women who drive the <Pink Shuttle 'in Kabul.
