  • Shahar and Adi travel the world during the Corona period

Adi Hashmonai (23) and Shachar Gonen (25) are male and female models, both have successful Instagram accounts and thanks to them they have been traveling the world for several months.

They are financing the trips in an interesting way and do not intend to return anytime soon.

Interview with the people who make a dream come true even in the most difficult time there is.

How long do you travel together?

We set out in October 2019, we felt it was right to travel around the world together even though we only went out together for three months.

We bought a plane ticket to one side, traveled in Japan for a month and from there we continued to Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Thailand, Bali and the last destination was Singapore, the corona arrived and we felt the need to return to the country.

"After four months we realized that the situation was not improving and we decided to fly again, a second before the closure we bought a plane ticket to London and from there we continued the trip to Venice, Dolomites, Milan, Lisbon, the islands and currently we are in Madeira."

When did you realize that you are taking the risk and going on a trip around the world at such a challenging time?

"We think the chances of getting infected in Israel are greater than abroad. Strictly adhering to the guidelines here. Every corner has an alcohol stand and in addition, because of the corona there are not many people traveling, most places are empty at the moment which is even a bonus."

And how do you make a living during all this time?

"Apart from traveling together, we also work a lot together, Shahar is a photographer and I am a model, we provide content to business owners in Israel and around the world. During the trip we work with many tourism companies and hotels, so we continue to travel and earn a living. "I maintain a lifestyle blog page with 98,000 followers @adi_hashamonai and Shahar maintains a tourism blog page with 21,000 followers @shachargonen. In addition, we also opened a joint page that today stands at almost 10,000 followers @shacharandadi".

Isn't it hard to be such a long time together?

"We get along very well with each other. We both come from the same field, we have the same hobbies and desires to succeed. The combination of photographer and model is a winning combination, we get most jobs and collaborations thanks to it. At first we made contact with hotels and with time it rolled and today Contact us via Instagram Last year we filmed a huge project for the tourism channel in Bali, on our Instagram you can see many more examples.

And when do you plan to return to Israel?

"In the meantime we have fun walking and fulfilling dreams, our followers enjoy the content and get recommendations. We see no reason to return any time soon. It is important for us to tell everyone not to stop life because of the corona, to do what they love and not to stop - because they only live once."
