55 artists from Germany have donated 500 works to charity, the association "Art helps give" announced on Tuesday.

Big names like Gerhard Richter, Rosemarie Trockel and Markus Lüpertz will be there.

But individual prints are also available for just under 300 euros.

The sales proceeds go to the Cologne homeless aid.

"Especially in winter and in the Corona crisis in Cologne, but also in North Rhine-Westphalia and all of Germany, thousands are fighting for survival on the streets," said Dirk Kästel from the Cologne initiative.

"We're trying to help alleviate the misery a little."

The works of art include two hand-signed art prints by Gerhard Richter for 20,000 and 30,000 euros and a bronze sculpture by Markus Lüpertz for 54,000 euros.

Editions and originals are offered for sale at www.charityartcologne.de, but not all works can be viewed online.

The campaign "Los for Lesbos" has announced a second fundraising campaign for the beginning of December.

24 celebrities such as David Craig, Diane Krüger, Toni Garrn, Jürgen Klopp, Elyas M'Barek and Bill Kaulitz will provide personal items that can be purchased by purchasing lots.

The proceeds go to civilian sea rescue.

In a first raffle, 574,000 euros were collected.
