Tesla is looking for thousands of new employees for its first European factory in Grünheide near Berlin.

The electric car manufacturer Tesla * is building a new plant in Grünheide near Berlin.
In the
"Giga-Factory Berlin-Brandenburg"
, the first vehicles should roll off the assembly line as early as 2021.
CEO Elon Musk wants to have the popular Tesla Model 3, the SUV Model Y and batteries produced here.
For this purpose, up to 40,000 jobs are to be created in the Gigafactory in the long term, Brandenburg's Minister of Economic Affairs Jörg Steinbach recently announced in an interview with the

.
Initially, around 12,000 new employees are planned in production and administration.

Tesla jobs in the Gigafactory Grünheide: These positions are currently being filled
Applicants in Grünheide shouldn't do anything less than “help shape the future”, says the electric car group's career page.
The work culture is “characterized by high speed” and requires “full commitment”.
Sounds like hard work and a lot of overtime, which Tesla sometimes explicitly demands in its job descriptions.
There are currently 302 job advertisements on the Tesla career page for the Grünheide location (as of November 17, 2020).
We are looking for employees primarily in the manufacturing sector, such as
automotive mechatronics
or
Toolmakers, as well as
engineers and programmers
(Engineering & Information Technology) - all full-time.
Also in the area of personnel (HR),

Legal
(Legal & Government Affairs) are occupied many places.
Tesla generally also hires interns and working students, but these positions are currently rarely filled.

Which languages must employees in Grünheide's Gigafactory be able to speak?
The language requirements of employees
vary depending on the area and position
.
Although Tesla comes from the USA, English skills are not required.
A toolmaker, for example, only needs to be fluent in German.
In high positions, however, it looks different.
For example,
engineers and programmers should be at least fluent in English
, while a system operator in the paint shop should have very good language skills in both German and English.

The reason: As the

So far nothing is known about the benefits in Grünheide.
