The coronavirus vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and the AstraZeneca laboratory is safe and effective in 70% of cases, according to a scientific report.
However, questions remain about how well it can help protect those 55 and older, a key concern for a vaccine that health authorities around the world hope to trust due to its low cost, availability and ease of use. .
Still, experts say the vaccine is likely to be approved, despite some confusion over the results and lower levels of protection than other candidates have shown.
