1. Donut does not give you anything
We are here at Walla!
Healthers like to find health benefits even in relatively infamous foods.
So, naturally, we tried to do the same with donuts - and we did not succeed.
A simple donut is made from flour, sugar, oil, eggs and milk, and it meets the definition of "food with no nutritional value".
Or in other words - a donut is not beneficial to the body at all in terms of its nutritional components.
How delicious, how not nutritious.

2. It is not always 350 calories in
donuts have a lot of calories.
Most people remember from an article they once read that a single donut has 350 calories.
But the truth is that the number 350 is only true for the "old-fashioned" donut - the one with the industrial jam and powdered sugar.
A chocolate-filled donut is already jumping to the 550-calorie range, and now try to calculate how much is in the spoiled donuts that are common in every bakery today.
Yes, the answer is 800-1,000 calories.
3. Why are donuts so fattening?
By and large, for the same reason they are so delicious.
Half of the calories of the donut come from the oil in which it is fried, and it contains between 23 and 30 percent fat, and half come from the carbohydrates (flour and white sugar), which as mentioned - do not contain essential nutrients for our bodies such as vitamins, minerals or fiber.
Half of the calories come from here.

4. If you already have a donut - eat it at four.
We have said not easy things about donuts here, but the truth is that there are quite a few sweet treats that contain a lot of calories and high fat percentages.
The relative advantage of a donut over other desserts is that it is satisfying.
If you eat the donut as a snack, rather than a dessert after a big meal, its calories will replace other calories, it will satisfy you until the next meal, and you will be able to enjoy it in peace.

5. Small donuts are not necessarily better
In recent years we are seeing more and more small donuts - "mini" donuts - and for many it is a kind of intermediate solution.
But the truth is that you are going for two small donuts to save calories, it is better that you already eat one regular donut.
This is because two small donuts will contain more calories than one large donut, even if they weigh the same, because the surface area of the small donuts allows them to absorb more oil.
6. One donut contains the recommended amount of oil for an entire day. The recommended
amount of fat per person per day ranges from 3-7 servings, depending on age and health status.
One serving of fat can be 8 olives, 2 tablespoons of avocado, a tablespoon of raw tahini - or a third of a donut.
This means that one donut contains 3 three servings of fat, which is the recommended amount of oil for some of us in a whole day.
So, if you know you are going to eat a donut, try reducing fats in other meals.
And now that you know all this, remember - one pastry (or two, or three) pastries will not change your entire diet.
If you choose to eat a donut, enjoy it to the end, without remorse and without self-hatred.
And if the calories are bothering you - try reducing them a bit at other meals, prolonging your fitness workout or just letting go.
It's thin.
