(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, DEC 10 - The United States yesterday reported more than 3,000 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours and over 220,000 new infections, according to data from the American University Johns Hopkins.
US health officials had been expecting a cut after millions of Americans traveled for Thanksgiving two weeks ago despite appeals to stay home. California yesterday recorded the cipher record of more than 30,000 new coronavirus cases.
The most affected country in the world in absolute terms by the pandemic, the US has so far counted a total of 15.38 million infections and 289,000 deaths.
