Extraordinary idea: Pastor Robert Vetter is planning a "tractor Christmas"

Pastor Robert Vetter is on the way to his congregation with a mobile church on December 24th to bring the good news even in times of Corona.
Pulled by a tractor, the trailer with a forest hut, an LED installation of the Holy Family on the outer wall and a large picture of the altar of the Alt-Stuhrer St. Pankratius Church stops at four "stops" in the area of the Stuhr Evangelical Church (Diepholz district) .
Cousin wants to read the Christmas gospel outdoors.
Because the Pankratius Church could only offer 30 places due to the corona, which would not be enough at the back and front.
"Especially when the church claims to be there for the people, this year I can't sit back and say: 'Then it just won't work.'" Said Vetter, who has been pastor in Stuhr since 2004, facing the unusual situation.
"It is a very Christmas trek," the community announced on Tuesday.
The trailer of the harvest club Alt-Stuhr with its 20 square meters was originally planned for the Freimarkt parade in nearby Bremen.
But like many others, he also fell victim to the pandemic.
Hygiene concept
Up to a hundred people are expected at each of the almost 20-minute stops on the afternoon of December 24th and Vetter reminds them of the hygiene concept.
It is mandatory to wear mouth and nose protection.
Six stewards would ensure that there was enough space between the visitors in the open spaces, who ideally would have already filled out a contact form online.
What can people expect?
A prayer, the Christmas Gospel according to Luke, a short sermon and the blessing.
