(ANSA) - KANKARA, DECEMBER 17 - Boko Haram has released a video showing some students kidnapped last week in the Nigerian city of Kankara, located in the north-western state of Katsina.
In the images (the video lasts 6 minutes and 30 seconds), a teenager, surrounded by a large group of other boys, says in English and Hausa that he is among the 520 students seized by the school in Kankara, adding "we were captured by the Abu Shekau (leader of Boko Haram) ". Ilgiovane asks the government to avoid military action and to find an agreement with the kidnappers. The group appears to be in a forest (ANSA).
