On December 27 the first 9,750 doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Italy

.

And what has been communicated, according to what is learned, the Commissioner for the emergency Domenico Arcuri during the meeting between the Government and the Regions.

The doses will arrive at the Spallanzani hospital in Rome and from there the symbolic distribution will start throughout Italy so that on the same day vaccines can be administered in all regions.

The doses, explained Arcuri, will be divided for all regions on the basis of a percentage identified on the basis of the total quantity expected for each region in the first distribution.

On Christmas Eve the vaccines will leave the Pfizer factory, on the 26th they will arrive at Spallanzani and from here, the next day, they will reach the administration points in the Regions.

Lombardy will therefore have the largest number of doses for the first symbolic administration, with 1,620 doses, followed by Emilia Romagna (975), Lazio (955), Piedmont (910) and Veneto (875).

The regions that will receive less doses are Valle d'Aosta (20), Molise (50) and Umbria (85).

"At the

moment there is no provision for children to be included in the vaccination campaign

. And this for several reasons: I am not aware of any experiments on children. They are also less susceptible to Sars-Cov-2 and more rarely have severe symptoms and disease. they have not been identified as a population supporting the transmission of the infection in the community. "

This was underlined by Gianni Rezza, director of prevention of the Ministry of Health, who spoke at the Risk Management in Health Forum in Arezzo.
