64,119 people were checked on Boxing Day as part of the checks for compliance with the prohibitions introduced with the decree of 18 December, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior.
Of these, 969 were sanctioned and 8 reported for violating the quarantine.
According to the Interior Ministry, there were 11,594 checks on commercial activities and businesses, which led to the closure of 5 shops and penalties for 30 owners.
