"I have decided to run for the Knesset in the upcoming elections," Nir Avishai Cohen announced today (Sunday), to which most of the general public was exposed a year ago as part of the previous season of "Big Brother."
In a post posted to his Instagram page, 39-year-old Cohen announced that he plans to run in a new, "Democratic" party, calling on his followers to help him in the race: "After months of protest waking up our camp, the camp that believes in democracy and equality, I "Women and men who have decided that it is our duty to change, influence and be responsible for our fate, because no one will do the work for us and our children."
Cohen, who came a long way in his season and was the 11th ousted, was featured on his ID card in the program, among other things: "Served as a regular combat officer in the Golani Brigade and as a sergeant major in a reserve infantry battalion. And even served as the organization's spokesman. "
"I already know me," Cohen wrote in a post he posted today. "We know very well what my values are, what I am fighting for and what is my top priority. Democracy and equality necessarily require an end to the occupation of the territories and the establishment of a peace agreement with the Palestinians. In order to promote the common life here between Jews and Arabs ... ".
