Following the state of emergency and the increase in the incidence of the virus, today (Sunday) the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, contacted the directors of the general hospitals and instructed them to add beds for Corona patients.
According to a table attached by the CEO to the letter, this is a target of 3,200 beds, when today it is 2,000. In total, this is a quarter of all hospital beds in Israel that will be allocated to Corona. Prof. Levy also emphasized that "But it must be prepared accordingly."
