Indonesia's most active volcano is seething.
Another glowing avalanche hit Mount Merapi on Java on Thursday.
A mixture of hot ash, gases and pieces of rock had run down the slopes at high speed about two kilometers, said the geology authority.
The so-called pyroclastic current came to a standstill at a river.
A similar eruption had already occurred on Wednesday.
There were no reports of deaths or injuries.
More than 100 residents were brought to safety, it said the civil defense.

About 35 kilometers north of the city of Yogyakarta, Merapi is one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world.
In 2010, more than 300 people were killed in an eruption of the Merapi (in German: Feuerberg).
The city of Yogyakarta with more than four million inhabitants in the metropolitan region is about 35 kilometers from the volcano.
The height of the Merapi is given at about 2,910 meters, but can change as a result of the eruptions.
The island nation of Indonesia is located on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, the geologically most active zone on earth.
Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are more common along this belt.
There are around 130 active volcanoes in Indonesia alone.
