The International Year of Caves and Karst # IYCK2021 was also inaugurated in Italy, promoted by the International Union of Speleology with the support of UNESCO and other 100 international partners, in order to raise awareness among institutions and the public throughout the world on the urgent need to protect caves and karst landscapes.
