(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - The new attorney general of Milan Francesca Nanni speaks of "near paralysis" of the judicial activity "due to the pandemic" in the intervention for the inauguration of the Judicial Year.

In the comparison "with the previous year in the period from April to June", "impressive data emerges: the criminal hearings in the Court of Appeal decrease by 73%, those before the minor section by 33%, the civil hearings in the Court of Appeal by 70%" .

Only "the hearings before the Supervisory Court" increased by "14%".

It is "difficult to understand", adds Nanni, "how long it will take to return to a normal situation".
