Two women died this Sunday after
the car in which they were driving on Route 2 got lost
, ten kilometers from the entrance to the city of Mar del Plata, reported fire and police sources.
The accident
occurred minutes after 2:00
p.m. at kilometer 392 of the highway, and according to the first information, the vehicle was circulating on the hand in the direction of the seaside resort.
The fatal victims were identified as
María Teresa Balbiani (85)
, a native of the City of Buenos Aires, and
Malvina Edith Ibáñez (38)
, from the Buenos Aires party of Moreno, who were traveling alone aboard a Volkswagen Fox.
Staff from the Camet and Caisamar Fire Brigades and the Rescue Group worked at the site, as well as from SAME and Road Detachment VII, which established that
the two women died during the impact
, and were left inside the car, on the channel that separates both hands of circulation.
Police and fire personnel carried out the corresponding tests to determine the causes and mechanics of the accident, and in principle it was established that the car suffered a mistake without the intervention of another vehicle.
