(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 31 - The United Kingdom could help EU countries in the supply of anti-Covid vaccines, but only if it will not interfere with the roadmap envisaged by the government to immunize the population of the kingdom: the laministra of international trade said , Liz Truss, according to what the Guardian reports.
Last night the undersecretary in charge of vaccines, Nadhim Zahawi, said that Britain is "doing everything possible" to help the EU with vaccine supplies and "will continue to do so".
Truss reiterated this concept, but hinted that any supplies to the EU may not occur before the UK has offered its doses to all adults in the country.
Previously Downing Street had indicated that aid to EU countries would be possible after the completion of the first phase of the British vaccination program.
