Police control during a large-scale operation against the rage scene in Dortmund

In a renewed use against the so-called speeder and poser scene, the police in Dortmund checked more than 450 cars and almost 800 people on Friday and Saturday evening.
In total, over 230 referrals had been issued, the police said.
Eleven drivers had to leave their vehicles behind, the car's operating license had expired.
The Dortmund police have been taking action against speeders and posers, who are out and about in Dortmund in the evenings on weekends for a long time.
The police said it was about preventing prohibited car races, stopping speeders and helping residents get to sleep.
During this operation, 65 warning money was imposed and 64 reports were written for administrative offenses, including 16 for violations of the Corona requirements.
