Red zones active from 6 pm, with gates manned by the police and access only for residents: this is the security cordon that could be triggered around the areas adjacent to the Ariston theater during the week of the Sanremo Festival (2-6 March).

The Rai protocol, which blocks the theater and other areas dedicated to the production of the event, has now been approved by the Scientific Technical Committee, and attention now shifts to the risks of crowding in the city: and it is precisely this aspect, in light of the still high circulation of the virus, to worry the experts most.

The anti-contagion rules will be put in black and white in the first days of next week, when the Committee for order and security will meet.

But in the meantime in the Municipality of Sanremo, awaiting the summit with the prefect, the police chief and the local health authority, the scenarios that change according to various situations begin to circulate: first of all the color of the region.

The stop wanted by Rai to all external events and to the presence of side programs at the festival is already an incentive for less circulation of people around the Ariston.

But the technicians of the CTS explicitly recalled that normally the festival attracts at least 10 thousand more people a year to Sanremo, including fans, onlookers, tourists.

Hence the request for "participatory management" with local institutions to contain the risks of contagion and guarantee the right to news and information on a major popular event.

Lighthouse lit, in particular, on areas where artists, guests and celebrities are expected, including hotels and restaurants.

In addition to the flow of onlookers, among the critical issues reported by the experts also the radio sets hosted in the shop windows next to the Ariston, which represent a point of attraction for the public and therefore crowding.

To align with these indications, ad hoc ordinances will be issued for the public spaces of the center - explain sources close to the dossier - and it is possible that restrictions on circulation will be imposed at certain times.

From the rooms of the municipal building it also transpires that maximum attention will be dedicated to monitoring the flows towards the center.

In short, the mayor Alberto Biancheri is ready to sign measures, but a source from the Municipality points out that even these days or weekends in the city center there are many people walking and shopping.

As happens in all the centers of other cities.

"We need a sense of responsibility and common sense", he stresses.
