For Ivana Mariela Modica (47) sports and life outdoors are part of her daily life.
She is asthmatic and the pandemic surprised her working from her home in Córdoba Capital.
More than 10 years ago I knew Javier Galván (44), with whom I worked in the Air Force but
a year ago they started a relationship.
That bond - which his family today describes as "conflictive" - ended with complaints of gender violence.
Ivana is very reserved, as explained in her family, and remembers "superficial" descriptions of the bond with Galván.
The truth is that between September and October 2020 he was encouraged to report it.
He made reference to physical and psychological violence and verbal abuse.
As a protection measure, the justice ordered
a perimeter restriction
so that he could not approach his home in Córdoba.
The search is concentrated on the La Falda dam, where a base camp was set up.
But the bond - crossed by violence - continued and, shortly after, Ivana agreed to move in with Galván, this time 70 kilometers from her mother, her friends and family.
Her daughter Nicole lives in Reconquista, north of Santa Fe, but they had a daily conversation, so the lack of contact alerted her immediately, both her and Ivana's mother, Mirta.
It was Nicole Modica (26) and Mirta who promoted the filing of the complaint, around 4 on Friday, when they continued to have no communication with Ivana.
As both were several kilometers apart, they insisted Galván do it.
Due to the previous complaints and the antecedent of violence, they doubted the time window and the rakings that were being carried out at Cerro La Banderita.
Galván was the one who directed the search to that sector of the city.
According to her statement,
Ivana was sleeping in the house they shared on Saturday morning.
She also said that she had expressed her intention to go for a walk on the trails of the hill, before dedicating herself to arranging the house to receive Nicole, her husband, and their children, who would arrive for a visit on Saturday at noon.
However, neither Carol, her sister, Nicole or Mirta, could corroborate that information.
The three agreed that she would not go to the hill without telling them, even that she had anticipated that on Friday she would dedicate herself to tidying up the house to receive a visit from her family.
Ivana Mariela Modica disappeared on Friday.
According to her partner, she went for a walk to the hill "La Banderita", in La Falda, but no one saw her.
For this reason, the doubts settled on the testimony of Galván, who never stopped having police custody at the house in the Santa Rosa neighborhood, even when they closed the accesses to the hill to search for Ivana with tracking dogs.
This Monday, after formalizing the arrest at 5:20 p.m., the search was centralized around the house they shared and in the area of Las 7 Cascadas.

Since they moved to La Falda, she traveled the 70 kilometers of distance to the City of Córdoba while Ivana stayed in La Falda working from her home.
