"Last Saturday I was also in the Vatican Museums guiding some visitors and
the situation was by no means so dramatic
. I honestly find the
controversies raised by some guides a bit silly
. Before they complained about the closure of the Museums, now, later 88 days of forced stop, they complain of the reopening ".
This was said to ANSA by
the director of the Vatican Museums, Barbara Jatta, who was asked about the controversy that in these hours are making the rounds of the Web on alleged gatherings and excessive crowding last Saturday at the Vatican Museums
.
Jatta refers to a guide who gave an interview to a national newspaper and comments: "I'm sorry, because the problem was not there. I myself led two groups, entertaining us in the halls for the right amount of time. But according to what they tell me, this external guide kept his visitors a good 40 minutes in one of the main rooms ".
