Cornflakes with a white coating?
At a US food company, it's called "Frosties".
In the state of Ohio, 20 kilograms of cocaine have now been seized.
This was announced by the American Customs and Border Protection Agency CBP.
Officials in Cincinnati became aware of a large cargo of cornflakes from Peru to Hong Kong because the drug detection dog "Bico" hit.
As the authority announced, the officials then opened individual packages.
The cornflakes therefore contained white powder, the coating consisted of a grayish substance.
Tests for cocaine were positive.
According to the authorities, the 20 kilograms should have a street value of up to $ 2.8 million.
The find had already taken place on February 13, the press release was only published on Friday.
Port of Cincinnati director Richard Gillespie said smugglers try to hide their drugs in everything imaginable.
The officers would use their "training, intuition and strategic skills" to stop such transports.
In this case »Bico« helped.
