WHO: global cases have risen 1 / a in 7 weeks

In the past week, the number of reported cases of Covid-19 has increased for the first time in seven weeks, after 6 consecutive weeks of declining.


    This was underlined by the director of the WHO, Tedros Ghebreyesus, during an online briefing.

Cases reported, he said, have increased in the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia and the eastern Mediterranean.

"This is disappointing - he concluded -, but not surprising".
