The Paris Commercial Court ruled on Thursday in favor of the Professional Football League (LFP), rejecting a complaint from Canal +.
The channel had taken them to court on January 25, challenging the market consultation launched by the LFP.
A consultation deemed "
anti-competitive
" and "
discriminatory
" by the cable channel.
They have not yet announced that they are appealing.
In 2020-2021, French football will have received around 683 million euros in domestic rights, including 367 from Canal +, and around 244 from its failed broadcaster, Mediapro… while it was expecting 1.217 billion in all.
