After the disappearance of a 33-year-old woman in London and the arrest of a suspected police officer, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called for a quick investigation.
"We must hurry to find all the answers to this terrible crime," wrote Johnson on Twitter.
He was "shocked and deeply sad" because of the case.
Sarah E. disappeared a week ago in south London without a trace.
"As in the rest of the country, my thoughts are with her family and friends," said Johnson.
In the meantime, a police officer has been caught - he is said to have kidnapped and killed the woman.
A woman was also arrested.
The 48-year-old police officer will continue to be interrogated, reported the BBC.
On Wednesday evening, the London police chief Cressida Dick announced that a body had been found in a wooded area near Ashford, Kent.
It is not yet known whether this is Sarah E.
Every sign of life has been absent from her since she disappeared from a friend on the way back.
In the wooded area in Kent, mourners laid flowers and farewell letters.
"Sarah's disappearance under these awful, dire circumstances is every family's greatest nightmare," said Dick.
It is true that "thank God it is incredibly rare" that a woman is kidnapped from the street.
"But I understand that women in London and the public - especially in the area where Sarah disappeared - are very worried and frightened."
The suspect has two children and works as a police officer in London.
He was arrested in his home town of Deal on the south-east coast of England.
The arrested 38-year-old is said to be his wife, according to media reports, she is accused of aiding and abetting.
"Shock waves" from the London police
Police searched the colleague's house and confiscated two cars.
That a police officer could be connected to the disappearance of Sarah E. had "shock waves" chased through the London police, according to the authority.
The case also highlighted violence against women.
Numerous women reported their fears and fears on social networks when they were out and about alone in the evening or at night.
Interior Minister Priti Patel was saddened.
"Every woman should feel safe walking our streets without fear of harassment or violence," she said.
