As the graphic shows, the number of fault reports at the provider web.de skyrocketed on Friday.
While there were a maximum of 32 messages yesterday, up to 75 users sent a message to the portal today.
It seems that the email provider's website is the most affected.
Almost 75 percent of the error messages are currently accounted for by this, a quarter reports problems with the login to the portal.

Already on March 9th and 11th there were more and more complaints about technical problems at web.de.
Even with GMX there seems to have been more and more problems today.
Like web.de, the company refers to delays in receiving e-mails, and the solution to the breakdown is being worked “with high pressure”.

Today, Friday, web.de and GMX tweeted that there was currently an “increased amount of spam”.
The tweet goes on to say that to protect users: "automated blocks for unknown / suspicious IPs" are in place.
It remains unclear whether the anti-spam measure is related to the technical problems of the email providers.
