This was announced by the Palestinian minister for health Mai al-Kailah, quoted by the official press agency Wafa.

Al-Kailah added that the epidemiological situation in the West Bank "raises concern".


    Wafa adds that President Abu Mazen (86) was among the first to be vaccinated, but it is unclear whether his inoculation occurred yesterday or earlier this month when members of the 65-year-old al-Fatah Central Committee were vaccinated. .


    The quantities of vaccines available to the NPC in the West Bank are limited.

So far he has received 5,000 doses of Modern from Israel, 8,000 doses of Sputnik from Russia and 64,000 doses of AztraZeneca and Pfizer from the World Health Organization, in the context of the Covax Project.

But one third of this latest supply was forwarded to Gaza.

In addition, Israel has vaccinated over 100,000 Palestinian laborers from the West Bank employed in its territory, so far with a first dose of Pfizer.
