In times of Corona, toilet paper has become an indispensable good in the household.
But it can also be used in the garden.
You'll find more about it here.
Just in time for the start of the new gardening season *, one or the other hobby gardener may ask himself how he can sow the carrot seeds at the same distance.
There are special seed bands to buy in specialist shops.
But if you want to save the money, you can make such a tape yourself.
The main component of the self-made seed tapes is toilet paper.
What else you need and how you should proceed, read in the article.

Making your own seed tape: How to proceed
In the first step, the
water is boiled together with the flour
, so that a sticky mass is created.
The glue should drip easily onto the toilet paper, so it shouldn't be too viscous.
Then let the mixture cool down well.
Next, the toilet paper is spread out on the kitchen table and cut in half.
The
glue
is then
dabbed
onto the toilet paper at regular intervals
.
The ideal distance is usually also stated on the seed packs.
Now a seed is placed on each of the drops of glue and the toilet paper is folded again in the middle.
The resulting seed band must now dry well.
As soon as the seed tape has dried, it can be rolled up onto a toilet paper roll.
This will make it easier to roll out onto the bed later.
In the last step, the
seed tape is rolled out on the bed and covered with earth
.
Don't forget to water the soil afterwards.
Incidentally, the toilet paper rots by itself and the vegetable germs have enough space to sprout.
