(ANSA) - LONDON, MARCH 23 - Absolute record for a work by Banksy, made available by the mysterious street artist fromBristol to raise money to donate to the British public health service (NHS) on the sidelines of the commemoration of the first anniversary of the national anti Covid lockdown introduced in United Kingdom on 23 March 2020. The painting, titled GameChanger and which first appeared in May on one of the Southampton General Hospital walls, was sold today by Christie's for £ 16.75 million (€ 19.4 million), against 2.5 from the starting point.
