The Nevers arrives, sci fi set in the Victorian era

(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 23 - Simultaneously with the American broadcast, it will debut on April 12 on Sky and Now THENEVERS, as announced by the official trailer just released.


   The series will be a sci-fi themed period drama starring a group of Victorian-era women with extraordinary superhuman abilities, grappling with unstoppable enemies and a mission that could change the world.

The appointment is for the night between 11 and 12 April, when the first episode will flood on Sky Atlantic and will be available on Now, in the original version with subtitles, from 03:00;

then in the early evening, Monday 12 April, at 9.15 pm, again on Sky Atlantic and instreaming on Now.

The broadcast in Italian will start from the following week, from 19 April.


    Laura Donnelly (Outlander) leads the cast as AmaliaTrue, the most reckless, impulsive and emotionally compromised heroine of late Victorian London.

Widow, Amaliam would die for the cause and kill for a drink: a verginaccia to the suffocating Victorian society.

Co-star is Ann Skelly who plays Penance Adair, a young and brilliant inventor.


    They are joined by Olivia Williams (Maps to the stars, Counterpart, Vittoria and Abdul) in the role of Lavinia Bidlow, leader of the "Touched," as the women who have suddenly manifested superpowers are called, James Norton (McMafia, Little Women) and Tom Riley (Da Vinci's Demons) in the roles of Hugo Swann, an elegant and charming young pansexual who runs a secret club and extortion ring, and Augustus 'Augie' Bidlow, a geek with a passion for ornithology.


    Rochelle Neil, Eleanor Tomlinson, AmyManson, Pip Torrens, Denis O'Hare, Zackary Momoh, ElizabethBerrington, Kiran Sawar, Anna Devlin, Viola Prettejohn, EllaSmith, Nick Frost and Ben Chaplin complete the cast.
