Latin America is one of the regions most affected by the pandemic, with a fifth of the world's deaths.

But, the

vaccination process against COVID-19

in the region is being quite slow, given the scarce and gradual availability of doses.

A separate chapter are some of the irregularities that

arose in Argentina's inoculation

process

.

For example, the 18-year-old militant from Avellaneda who received a dose and the officials who skipped the order of priority established by the National strategic plan

that the Government designed.

A quantitative research developed and disseminated by the observatory of the Faculty of Psychology (UBA) entitled "Opinion on the order of priorities of the different groups in the vaccination plan against covid" reveals

a different choice when applying the vaccine.

The order of priorities established by the respondents coincides with the Government in considering health professionals in the first step.

But it differs by placing the group of adults over 60 years of age and that of people with risk factors

(due to pre-existing diseases)

in the second box.

Also, when perceiving that, at the other extreme, front-line political officials (President, governors and ministers) and

young people between 18 and 35 years old should be the last to receive the vaccine.

43% of those surveyed said that "the people most exposed to contagion" should be taken into account.

38% prioritized the group with the highest risk of life (over 60) and 19% those who have greater social interaction,

which would explain the last two places in the order of priorities.

This figure arises from an online search

of more than 2,100 people over 18 years of age

, residents of the City and Province of Buenos Aires, through social networks.

A vaccination scheme in stages, which can be modified in the light of new scientific evidence, the epidemiological situation or the presence of doses is the model followed by the country.

Within the official scale, the highest priority group is the personnel of public and private health establishments.

Then, there are adults over 70 years of age and those who live in geriatric facilities, and then adults over 60 years of age.

The next group in the priority of the national State is the personnel of the Armed Forces, Security and prison services (for those surveyed the fourth place corresponds to teachers).

Then there are adults between 18 and 59 years of age who present risk factors

(respondents believe that this place corresponds to the security forces).

The sixth on the list of the national Ministry, is the teaching and non-teaching staff

of the initial educational levels (kindergarten), primary and secondary (for those surveyed, they should be workers of means of transport and essential shops).

Finally, the seventh and last group is destined to "other strategic populations that define the jurisdictions, inhabitants of popular neighborhoods, people living on the streets, native peoples, people deprived of liberty, migrants."

However, with the arrival of 1 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, from China, which is not yet authorized (but would be close to being) by the Ministry of Health of the Nation for people over 60 years of age, it was put into the vaccination of teachers and non-teaching education workers across the country is marching.

The start of the campaign was defined by the Federal Health Council (Cofesa).

Faced with possible restrictive measures, the report also inquired about the predisposition that people have today to face a strict quarantine.

The results of the survey showed that 52% would fully comply with what the health authorities indicate, 26% only partially, 13% would not obey any restrictive measure and 9% do not know it.

In the age range that goes between 30 to 39 years, this number of people who are willing to follow official instructions reaches 56%;

while between 40 and 49 years it reaches 57%.

The trend changes with the responses of young people between 18 and 20, who only 32% say they would abide by the new provisions restricting circulation, but it rises again (47%) among people between 21 and 29 years old .
