For the Easter weekend, meteorologists are predicting significantly cooler, but still widespread, more cheerful weather.
From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, the sun often shows in addition to loose clouds in many regions, said the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach.
From Easter Monday, however, the weather will be much more uncomfortable, according to the forecasts, with even cooler temperatures, rain and snowfall.
In many places hardly anyone had thought of snow these days.
On Wednesday, a heat record for the month of March was measured in Rheinau, Baden, with temperatures above 27 degrees.

In the south and southwest, 14 to 20 degrees are reached.
Sun for Easter egg hunt especially in the middle and south
According to the prognosis, Saturday starts with a cloudy sky with a few showers between Vogtland and Lusatia as well as on the Alps.
During the day, the sun increasingly prevails, the maximum values are expected to be 7 to 15 degrees, with weak to moderate wind blowing.
During the Easter egg hunt on Sunday, sunny weather is expected, especially over the center and in the south.
In the north, meteorologists expect more clouds, there it can also rain a little on the coasts.
According to the DWD, on Easter Monday a strong low over the North Sea will determine the weather for Germany.
Dense clouds bring rain and the temperatures probably only reach 6 to 10 degrees, in the southeast 10 to 15 degrees.
As it cools down, the snow line also falls, it was said.
For the coming week, the meteorologists expect changeable and cool weather with rain, sleet or snow showers.
