The police in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are taking action.
In the Neubrandenburg area alone, the occupants of 82 vehicles were expelled from the state on Friday for violating the Corona rules.
The checks included prohibited tourist entries, as the police announced.
Neubrandenburg is part of the Mecklenburg Lake District.
According to a police report, 152 people were asked to leave the state again because they could not provide a valid reason for their stay.
A total of around 800 vehicles were checked by the police.
The increased controls are to continue over the Easter holidays.
Day trippers are not allowed in either
At the moment it is only allowed in exceptional cases to enter Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from other federal states.
Day trips are also prohibited.
Exceptional cases include people with a second residence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, people visiting their core family or people passing through.
"Please have suitable documents with you that prove that you are traveling to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for one of these reasons," it says on the government website.
Those who live in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the other hand, can move freely within the state.
However, hotels and other holiday businesses remain closed to holidaymakers from their own federal state.
Another limitation arises if people live in a county or city with an incidence of more than 150.
The range of motion can be restricted there.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania currently has one of the lowest incidences in Germany-wide comparison.
In addition to Saarland and Schleswig-Holstein, it is one of the three federal states in which the incidence, according to the RKI report on Friday, is less than 100.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, 93 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were reported there last week.
