Up to Milan, tourist flows have experienced a boom in recent years, with around 200 thousand fewer visitors in these days of celebration and a loss of around 50 million euros.

The cities of art cry, but also metropolises such as the Lombard capital and areas with a strong tourist vocation in Sicily and the Amalfi Coast: they will be the places most damaged by the Covid prohibitions of these days of the first spring break.


   According to Codacons, which carried out a survey on the estimated losses that ANSA publishes in preview, followed by Florence, with -200 thousand presences and visitors and lower revenues for about 30 million euros, Venice (-100 thousand tourists, -23 million euros takings) and Naples (-80 thousand tourists, -15 million euros).


   Not only the cities of art will be damaged by the limits imposed by Covid: on the tourist front, Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula will also suffer serious losses, in recent years very popular areas during Easter.

In particular, Sicily will lose a total of approximately 400,000 visitors with damage of over 75 million euros, Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast 30,000, with losses of 7.5 million euros.


   The compatriots who moved during the Easter period spent an average of 2.5 nights away from home, giving rise to a business tour including overnight stays, transport, meals, museum entrances, etc.
