Street parade in New York: "Long Live DMX"

Two weeks after the death of the US rapper DMX, relatives, colleagues and fans paid tribute to the musician with a parade and a memorial service in New York.
The ceremony in the Barclays Center event hall was broadcast live on the artist's social media channels.
A red coffin stood on the stage during the ceremony.
Due to corona requirements, only a few musicians were allowed in the large arena besides family and friends.
In one of his last major shows, DMX performed at the Barclays Center in June 2019.
A huge monster truck labeled "Long Live DMX" had previously driven the coffin from Yonkers, the rapper's hometown, through the streets of New York to Brooklyn.
Hundreds of motorcycles and cars followed the truck with loud DMX music, fans lined the streets.
After a heart attack and days of artificial respiration, the rapper, whose real name was Earl Simmons, died on April 9 at the age of 50 in a clinic near New York (read an obituary here).
Colleagues from the music and film scene, including rapper Missy Elliott, singer Nas, producer Timbaland and actresses Halle Berry and Viola Davis expressed their grief at the time.
The rapper, known for hits like "Party Up", "Ruff Riders' Anthem" and "Get At Me Dog", had also appeared in more than a dozen films, including "Romeo Must Die" and "Exit Wounds".
