The company Weinbergmaier GmbH is recalling a frozen vegetable from the Bauernland brand.
Discovery can lead to health consequences.
For reasons of precautionary consumer protection, the Austrian Weinbergmaier GmbH is recalling frozen vegetables.
The recall concerns the product “Mediterranean vegetables” from the “Bauernland” brand from batch 240248 with the best before date September 2022. In the case of frozen food, contamination with celery cannot be ruled out.
This was determined as part of an internal quality control by Weinbergmaier GmbH.
Traces of celery can be dangerous for allergy sufferers.

Possible symptoms of an allergic reaction to celery:
Itching, burning, furry feeling in the mouth and throat
Vomiting, nausea, diarrhea
Hives, Quincke's edema
Allergic runny nose, allergic conjunctivitis
Asthma attack, shortness of breath
Dizziness, oppressive feeling
Anaphylactic shock (life-threatening state of shock, circulatory failure)
Recall: traces of an allergen discovered
Weinbergmaier GmbH declares that the product was temporarily available from wholesalers in Austria.
The frozen vegetables can be returned to the respective branch - the purchase price will be reimbursed even without proof of purchase.
Other batches and products from Weinbergmaier GmbH are not affected and can be processed and consumed without hesitation, according to the company.
Only recently there was a recall from Aldi about a muesli mix due to a dangerous ingredient.
