In spring, your own green oasis has to be awakened from its hibernation and prepared for the summer.

When scarifying, the sward is scored two to three centimeters deep. This removes thatch, mulch and moss and thus aerates the lawn. While the working depth describes how deep the device can penetrate into the ground when working, the working width refers to the distance between the two knives that are furthest apart.
As a rule, this is around 38 centimeters for a scarifier, but if you don't have a large garden, you can usually do well with a working width of 30 centimeters.

The test winner was a device from Stihl, the RL 540. The scarifier is not exactly cheap at a purchase price of 600 euros, but it delivers an excellent result that hardly any competitor can keep up with.
In addition, the gasoline engine is very easy to use, which is probably also due to its powerful engine.
This means that when scarifying you always have enough power reserves in your hindquarters to literally glide over heavily muddy areas.
