Neither improvement nor deterioration… After two quarters of decline at the end of 2020, unemployment remained stable over the first three months of 2021. The roller coaster is therefore over, for a while at least. Between January and March, the number of registrants in category A (no activity) at Pôle emploi in whole France (excluding Mayotte) has thus slightly decreased, according to the count of the Ministry of Labor. The number of registrants in the main category fell by a timid 0.4% over the quarter, to settle at 3.8 million, which represents a decline of ... 14,500 people only, the thickness of the line. On the other hand, categories B and C, which include the unemployed in reduced activity (who worked more or less than 78 hours each month), show an increase of 0.8%, with respectively 736,000 and 1.47 million registered. .
