(ANSA) - LONDON, APRIL 28 - Political crisis in Northern Ireland due to the resignation of Arlena Foster as leader of the major local unionist party, Dup, and as First minister of the Belfast regional government.
Foster announced the step back in a note, after the parliamentary groups of his party had begun yesterday to collect signatures to trust her together with her deputy Nigel Dodds.
She explained that a new leader will be elected within "a few weeks", ensuring she "wants to work" with whoever succeeds her.
