Similar to Floyd, the day before him. Brother of the victim: 'It was a murder' (ANSA)

A shock video revealed the killing of a Hispanic in Alameda, California, in a similar way to that of African American George Floyd, a day before him.

The images show a 26-year-old man, Mario Arenales Gonzales, who is arrested and immobilized with his face to the ground for nearly five minutes while one of the three officers presses on his chest despite the moans and pleading 'Please don't do it '(please don't do that).

The resuscitation attempts of the three agents were useless and they were suspended.

"The Alameda policemen murdered my brother"

: Gerardo Gonzalez, brother of the 26 / year old suffocated by the police, said at a press conference.

"His death was completely avoidable and useless, a drunk person in a park is not the same as a death sentence", echoed the family's lawyer, Julia Sherwin, who also accused the police of having misinformed with her first report, comparing it to what happened in the Floyd case.

Alameda police initially reported that there had been "a physical altercation" when the officers attempted to arrest Gonzalez and that "at that moment the man received medical help", later dying in hospital.

The police intervened following two reports

, one about a man who seemed to remove the safety labels from alcoholic bottles and another about a man who apparently loitered 'high' but doing nothing wrong. The first agent tried to identify Gonzales, who was sitting quietly in a park with two shopping baskets in a seemingly confused state. Seven minutes later a second agent arrives. The two approach and bring an arm behind his back, perhaps encountering a slight resistance before pinning the man to the ground, continuing to ask him for his surname and date of birth. Her sobbing responses, however, are strangled by a grip that hinders her breathing. "Please don't do that", she pleads in a low voice. In the video, a third policeman is then seen on Gonzales' legs. When one of the agents asks if they should turn him on his side, another replies: "I don't want to lose what I got". The man is turned only when he faints. Resuscitation attempts are useless, even with Narcan, usually used against overdoses. A spokesman for the city of Alameda has announced the names of the agents involved: Eric McKinley, Cameron Leahy and James Fisher.
